Job Description

Carpenter Co. has an immediate opening for an Account Manager within our Filtration division. This position works from a home office, preferably within 100 miles of the Richmond, Virginia area. The Account Manager is responsible for collaborating with the National Sales Manager to develop and execute the sales strategy for Carpenter Co.’s Filtration Fiber division.  

  • Understand Carpenter’s product offerings and capabilities
  • Prospect, develop and maintain customer base for resin bonded filtration media products
  • Plan, prepare and execute sales, marketing and branding strategies based on industry trends along with feedback from sales and customers to maximize revenue and profitability
  • Analyze and understand market trends, industry challenges and new developments to anticipate and capitalize on current and future opportunities
  • Regional travel to customer locations to develop new business opportunities and retain existing accounts
  • Sustain rapport with key accounts by making periodic visits; exploring specific needs; anticipating new opportunities
  • Work with Manufacturing and Production to ensure customer demands can be met
  • Participate in monthly and quarterly sales review meetings

Skills / Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2+ years of outside sales experience
  • Knowledge and experience in the fiber or filtration industry, preferred
  • Industrial sales experience, preferred
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
