Manufacturing Maintenance Mechanic
**Earn a weekly $60 bonus if you work 40 hours, or a $75 bonus if you work 50+ hours**
Carpenter Co. has an immediate opening for a Maintenance, Mechanic/Electrician on 1st shift and 2nd shift at our Conover, NC location. This position is responsible for plant and production equipment install, troubleshoot, and preventive maintenance.

The successful candidate will be expected to communicate with the department Lead Person, Maintenance Manager, Production Managers and all the other employees in the department to make sure that all scheduled and unscheduled repairs are repaired in a timely manner.
Additional responsibilities of the Maintenance, Mechanic/Electrician:
- Knowledge of conveyor systems and components, belts, bearing, sprockets, gear reducers
- Hand tool knowledge, welding, cutting, minor fabrication
- Timely communication of problems and issues affecting plant performance to management
- Demonstrate the ability to perform work independently (work alone)
- Communicate with and maintain a team-based attitude with fellow co-workers and managers
- This position requires occasional overtime, trouble call-ins and some scheduled weekend work
- Opening available on 3rd shift (Sun - Thurs, 9:00pm - 5:00am, with overtime as needed).
Skills / Requirements
2+ years Industrial maintenance is highly preferred with some electrical background.
High School Diploma or GED

Pay: $21.65 to $22.79/hour
Carpenter Co. offers shift differnetial pay of $1.00/hr for 2nd shift employees. Carpenter Co. also offers a weekly bonus pay in the amount of $60.00 for working 40 or more hours in the pay period. $75.00 bonus pay for working 50 or more hours in the pay period.
