IT System / Production Analyst
Job Description
Carpenter Co. has an immediate opening for an IT System / Production Analyst at our Conover, NC location. This position will use Microsoft and other third party provided tools to support and maintain company applications, servers, desktops, laptops, print devices, mobile device management, as well as remote users to ensure optimal software and hardware performance, updates, upgrades, reliability, troubleshooting, including network and data security.
IT System Administrator will use the SAP platform to create and analyze production reports and solve procedural problems. This position will also be responsible for providing support to SAP users on an ongoing basis.
Minimum Qualifications:
3-5 years experience preferred in a manufacturing environment.
Major duties and responsibilities of the job can be satisfactorily performed with a high school education.
Basic understanding of networking concepts.
In depth knowledge and experience working with all current versions of Microsoft desktop and server operating systems.
Advanced knowledge and experience working with Microsoft Active Directory and Exchange
Experienced using Microsoft Office applications
Experience troubleshooting computer hardware problems
Experience performing computer minor hardware repairs
Experience removing computer viruses and malware
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Excellent Microsoft Office skills, including Work and Excel
Skills / Requirements
Essential Functions:
Responsible for troubleshooting and ongoing technical assistance for all company IT support personnel and equipment at the division and branch level
Administers the creation and maintenance of domain users and groups using Active Directory as needed
Stage, configure, and manage new and existing server systems and applications
Research and test new applications and utilities relevant to IT operations
Administers the setup and maintenance of Exchange email users and mailboxes as needed
Work alone or collaboratively on assigned projects and tasks
Maintain and manage company issued cell phones as well as administering the MDM (Mobile Device Management) server
Assist in maintaining the Corporate data center and network topology diagrams
Regular attendance expected
Ensures compliance with corporate software policies; especially with respect to ensuring all locations are purchasing and running legal copies of software
Non-Essential Functions:
Periodic job related training
Special after-hours and weekend IT projects
Setup/modify workspace for Corporate hires and employees as needed
Lifting up to 30 lbs
Enters IT purchase orders into SAP as needed
