Carpenter Co. has an immediate opening for an Account Manager.  This position will be responsible for helping  us grow our Furniture and Bedding division in the Upper Midwest. 

Carpenter Co. employees are committed to working hard to ensure production goals are met while maintaining operations excellence. As the successful candidate, you will be expected to develop and maintain business relationships with manufacturing and fabrication clients in Iowa, Nebraska, North Dakota, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. Timely follow up and problem resolution for the company and its customers is required.   Position requires effective time management and travel when necessary.  This is a remote opportunity working from a home office.

Your additional responsibilities as Sales Representative will include:

  • Know and understand Carpenter’s products and capabilities
  • Service existing accounts and prospect and close new business accounts through organization and efficient planning
  • Work with manufacturing plant personnel, technical center and management to develop solutions to customer issues
  • Work with plant personnel, technical center and management to develop solutions to customer issues
  • Prepare weekly call and sales reports
  • Prepare monthly and annual territory analysis to be submitted to the Sales Manager in order to strategize and discuss business goals

Skills / Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications or other related discipline
  • 4 to 6 years of business to business sales experience
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Prior sales experience bedding, furniture or foam preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
  • Self-motivated and a drive to exceed expectations
  • Ability to travel 4  to 6 overnights per month
