Carpenter Co. is looking to add a Customer Service Representative to our team in Riverside, CA!

In this role a CSR will receive and record customer orders, questions, and comments. Will also need to maintain daily communication with customers, department supervisor, and operators. Works in a normal production office environment. Major challenge involves maintaining customer satisfaction through phone and electronic communications.

Essential duties:

a.       Take customer orders, Write up and key in orders, Schedule orders. Process Cash sales / Employee sales.

b.       Responsible for all filing of customer pods.

c.       Billing of shipped material.

d.      Customer price increase or decrease; Update catalog prices.

e.       Adjustments / credits, debits, and returns.

f.        Pattern maintenance.

g.       Create PO's for Freight, Trim and Utility Bills.


Additional duties include:

a.       Printing necessary reports.

b.       Work with corporate and sales on credit holds.

c.       Handling of Backorders.

d.       Organize paperwork for processing payment of freight bills.

e.       Key in estimated freight amounts (for customer billing).

f.        Maintaining customer information records.

g.       Create new customers.

h.       Researching chargebacks. Credit, debit or collect if need.

i.        Material movements for adjustments needed.

j.        Mail Invoices.

k.       Serves as backup switchboard operator during absences and vacations.

l.        Other duties as assigned.
